Post by Fred »

Sup when i start the car up the Supercharger light, the battery light, and another light which is kind of like a little box with some wavey lines coming out the top, all stay on.

any ideas what it means?

Thanks

Yep, that'd be my verdict too. Your alternator is overcharging to heck.

That's happened to me twice.

Wouldn't that imply that your alternator could be really savagely spiking from time to time?

Ah, I see.

Just imagine there is a goat in there, and you'll leap in with great enthusiasm.

Awesome that is good, well its not but good to know what it is

just had a new alternator put on it, so must be that, if its overcharging it will stuff the battery up hey? and make it go flat? cause thats what happened once had the new alternator.

Yep. If it did what both of mine did, it overcharged the battery while running, and then quietly drained the battery while parked up for more than about an hour.

I replaced the alternator immediately, so fortunately didn't cook the battery.
