Ok well if thats the case then not a lot of piont going down that track...unless their the same shape, then could just weld up the unused holes and drill the new.
What are people using for sumps on the gen3 then?
Are the altezza sumps conpatable?

No, they all had alloy sumps.

And what do you propose to do about the oil filter and the galleries that are in the front part of the sump?

Yes well ive got three options i suppose<
Eather i can get a ta23 xmember,(does anyone have one lying around for me please), this should alow the sump to go infront of the xmember, hopfully not pushing the engine to far forward.
Or, look into converting back to the gen2 setup with the filter on the oil cooler, im making the usumption the block is still the same as the gen2 and perhaps the oil pump over the filter is differant to acomidate the oilways and filter, Ill have to have a look tomorrow.
Or just lift the engine 100 mm, yuck :?
Surly someone has done this something like this with the gen3 ?????
Ive done this convetion to a gen2, but this is some thing i didnt have to worry about.

I guess you can go extreme and have a dry sump system.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

Got a few pics of the oil pump cover on the 3sge gen3, can someone post up pics of the gen2 one and the block( under where the cooler is mounted), so I can make a comparison.
Looking to convert the pump to the gen two, or just bypass the oil filter on the gen3 version and mount the filter on the block with the oil cooler as the gen two did. Then modify a sump to fit.

So at this point im after a 3sge Gen2 oil pump/engine cover, and sump.
(If anyone can tell me what there werth, or if anyone got the bits, that would be great).
Got the option to buy a complete,(slightly damaged) short block for a $100 bucks but dont really need the whole thing.
So your in put would be great.
Cheers
