Postby Mike- » Thu Sep 14, 2006 9:37 pm

well i discovered id cracked the head on my engine so that has come off and i got a new one which has been acid dipped, its not cracked or warped either :) but, the valves are sitting there loose, my question is how do i get the valve into those little half round clips, and is there anything i should do to clean up the valves they looks pretty dirty,

With a valve spring compressor ;) As for cleaning them, nah not too much of a biggy. Parts washer might bring them up.

Clean all the carbon deposits etc off the valves with a wire wheel on a bench grinder

They're pretty cheap, I think the Powerbuilt one retails at like $35 or so
