Keep in mind that doesn't get you a dry sump set up, plumbing, flywheel and clutch set up , carbs and manifolds, porting and balancing, and countless hours to put the thing together with dyno time. Those prices are only the basis to start with , and at the end of that part you still ony have a motor ! Spose I could just finish the motor and use it as a coffee table .

With how much gas? My car must have a heavy bonnet as with 3/4 of a tank of gas, basically standard GTV it came in at 990kg. Scales are accurate to +or- 5kg.

Not much gas but a full tank will be less then 50ish kgs, my car is a race/rally car - no interior - no sound dead material - no heater - no unrequired things under the bonnet - no stereo etc etc
I assume yours is the road car in your profile? I would say that if you remove all that stuff yours would be 60-80 kgs lighter then mine and then when you put a cage in it will be similar?

saves 32kg????????? are they lead from factory.

the more i hear about their weight, the more happy i am with the TE71. diet consists of sound deadening, basic loom and lighter bumpers and last weighed in at 930kg with fuel and fat me (lost 10kg since then). hoping to get the sprinter under 800kg dry(target is 750kg) and road legal.

Sorry, by that I was meaning that I had not gone to any effort to make it light. I have only done what was required to make it a race/rally car.

If I went mad I could have another 300kgs out of it! But I need it to be road legal to do Rallies. Also it works so why touch it!

26k gets the best money can buy if your a parts freak. You get 250hp of the most phat sounding engine ever, but, you can build one with 15hp less for 10k. Im sure no one here really is considering buying a dated engine setup new for 50k....
