normally the light for supercharger is just above the needle, in not GTZ's theres space where you can drill a hole and mount a LED, then just run the wires out the side of the cluster.

Yeh but what i was thinking was if theres power there already why isnt the light going?? unles it has something to do with the ECU, and my other prob is i dont want to be feeding more power in to the dash cluster incase bad things hapen and it all fuks out

wat he wants to do is try to use the bulb that is already in that hole, not an led. and he would like to know what would happen if the 12v (with a resistor) that he feeds to it will have any adverse effects if it touches those tracks on the back of the speedo......

Better yet, put a switch on 5th so when u change to 5th an OD light comes on :O

You could also rig up a pressure sensor so when you hit a vac of ~14"mg a eco light comes on, that'd be cool, Could have a light for when u press the acclerator, OMG u could have lights for when ur suspension travelled too!

meh, its his car, let him do what he wants with it, if he doesn't like the light, he can always take it out... if you've followed the tracks you should know which wires they go to. find out what those wires are, one of them should be an earth already. if there is no wire, then its probably safe to assume that powering the track will not harm any other part of the dash since its not connected to anything else? failing that, you could just run wires to the light itself and isolate the tracks from the bulb somehow.

the tracks lead to a blob of solder, theres no way to tell where they go to coz dont think that that plastic sheet with the tracks on it comes off.....

Now i'm upset :(

Seriously, It'll piss you off though, I have two cosntantly flashing at me, a turbo light and a OD light blinks non stop (missing part of the auto loom) Personally though if i was going to do what u want to do i'd try to do it completely independantly of the facorty circuits, cause all that dash cluster wiring is pretty damn complex and u don't want it messing out. Drop of solder in the wrong place and there would be tears :).

If they had a flashing light on smartass posts toyspeed would light up like a christmas tree
