Dave, switch back to eliminate the possibility of something magically fixing itself!

If it turns to crap again, you know its the gas, if it doesn't... Then maybe there really is a Hogwarts!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

There's 2 BP's within 10 mins of your place. One in Plimmerton and the other in Jville. Both have 98 and would be "on the way" to most places you're likely to go.

BP...
Jvilles one is on the main rd. Turn off motorway, left at roundabout and its just past the enormous Woolworths. You can get straight back onto the motorway afterwards and continue on into town. Kinda like a big pit stop off the m'way into town.

Plimmerton one is almost easier still. Jump on the motorway north from the 'Rua. Got through the Paremata roundabout(still heading north)and it's about 300m up the road on your left.

Both are 5-10 mins from home and on your way to either Welly or North

Ultimate in the UK is now 100 octane - was re-released earlier this year in a new formula.

I get less knock using Mobil 8000 although sometimes the BP is fine.

I used to fill up at BP Wairau Rd and have had some really bad batches so I dont go there anymore.

I'm pretty sure it would be too much to ask to get that here, though it would be really nice. I'm still umming and ahhing about what fuel to have in the tank when I get my car tuned in light of the amount of variation there seems to be in what you get from the pump.

Ran my old car (Supercharged Altezza) on the Dyno with both Mobil and BP 98 and found no real power difference, but the car ran a lot better and showed higher lean out thresholds using BP Ultimate, go figure.

Plus Mobil 98 is pink and pink is for girls.

Random. I always thought it was purple... maybe I am colourblind. That would explain a lot of things.
