What springs are fxgt club car owners using??? AE82 fxgt

If you r going to use the car for street events and hill climbs etc the best set up that i have driven on is
*lowered king srings (not super lows)
*KYB twin gas shocks
*Thicker rear roll bar
*1 to 1.5 degrees of camber front and rear
*Between 5 and 8 degrees of caster
*about 1mil of toe out in the front end and zero in the rear end

Am in the process of building the suspension for an ae82 for track racing so am wanting to use king springs and bilsteins ( or twin adjustable konis) platform adjustable struts front and rear big front roll bar even bigger bar in the rear more caster adjustment in the front end more camber adjustment front and rear.As for spring weights have not worked that out yet.

Yes it's at ruapuna doing different courses, full grand prix course, club circuit with and without dipper. At high and low speeds it sits fine on the track, the extra rear swaybar clamped onto the original one, making it 2 factory swaybars has reduced understeer i previously had, there's a rair bit of body roll on cornering and reason the spring rate in the front needs to be stiffer is to reduce the bodyroll. And the back end becomes quite light under braking and in the wet is all more fun when all the weight distribution is on the front of the vehicle. Had someone with me that's pedalled a few cars round in previous years and it feels quite soft under braking, i am using cobra springs after all so their designed purely for road use and my intention is to get custom springs. The findings are it is quite soft in the front and car almost nosedives under braking. Spring rate i have couple of friends helping me to work out what i have. Also worked out set of lovells springs i have for rate too. Main thing is getting the back of the car low and i'll be tackling/ experimenting tonight with different spring pairings

i have trd strut inserts in mine ithe fitted strait in no mods i have fitted threads to my struts and are running adjustables i have king 350lb front springs and 250lb dobi rear race springs at the old taupo track this set up gave me 3 seconds on that track thats a huge change this cost me just under 600 dollars to so its not a dear way to go (also how did you fit two sway bars ? does it work ?)

Is yours an ae82?? And was it the rears that you could put the adjustable inserts into? straight fitment?? Reason i ask is suppliers only have listings for the standard complete shopck as a unit, i'm more than willing to prove them wrong.

Place like chamberlains will convert struts to fit inserts, have to do that if you go with bilstein afaik.

both front and rear i think both where insert type struts (not all are from what i understand) and yes ae 82 hatch take them out and have a look at them see if there is a nut on the top of each strutt ?

Got Koni adjusties in my ae82 fx.
For the fronts you undo the nut on the top of the struts, pull the guts out, replace with an insert and do the nut up.
The rears are sealed, so you cut the top off, pull the guts out, and drill a hole in the bottem to bolt the insert in.

Should say on the trd website if they inserts or not, there is also a page where you can cross referance the part numbers and get the dimentions of the inserts

Yip i'm aware of the fronts being able to be replaced with inserts as i've done this already but rears i wasn't so sure about. Been quoted $120 to get my gabriel shocks machined down / shortened to suit the spring but if it costs that much then i may aswell price up TRD inserts
