rear brake pads ae92

Postby deaf_rattle » Sun Dec 03, 2006 6:08 pm

I had a look at the rear brake pads on the ae92 fxgt
didnt have time to ass about so left it for today.
Its completely different to the front brakes..

So do you have to beeld the fluid in order to change the pads?
if not, how do you get the pads to release?

cheers

Make sure the hand brake is off :)
and instead of pushing the pistons back in on the calipers you have to wind them back in.

Yep, ya need to bleed them. And as said above the piston screws back in, use pilers on either side of the piston.

You dont need to bleed the brakes.
Just remove and fit new pads, screw the pistons back into the calipers, reassemble everything, and pump the brake pedal a few times until the pedal goes hard.

Job done :)
