Super Strut Suspension and 18" mags

Postby DVSFOX » Wed Dec 06, 2006 12:23 pm

Hi Guys,

Hey I was wondering if anyone could tell me if 18" mags will fit AE111 BZG Levin without too much trouble. I have super strut suspension (if someone could explain to me what this is as well, would be appreciated) - Ive looked in the tech area and I'm still a bit confused.

Thanks,

Sash

Sweet, heres to hoping they fit, cause I was speaking to another guy that had 18" DTMs on his car (Same as mine) and he had to put 5mm Spacers in.

I shall just cross my fingers and hope they fit. 8O

Width and offset would be the most important thing, I'd thing any thing wider that 7.5" would be a tight squeeze.

They are 7.5" not sure on the offset though. Man I'm kinda thinking now I should have got 17s.

As long as they are 7.5" wide and 40 offset should be sweet. On my ae101 I had 17x7.5's and there was about 1-2mm clearance to the strut. 18"s should be no different

Ok, not to sound intirely blonde.. which I am.. I'm still learning about car stuff.. I'm good with most stuff but suspension confuses me. What is my strut? I know what my strut brace is, but other then that it is beyond me. and what makes my superstrut suspension different then normal suspension and can it be removed so I can put coil overs in?

18s fit, took me ages to find some that fit.

Mine are 18x7 with a 40 offset, any bigger pretty much won't fit.

Use spacers as a last resort, if you do; your wheel nuts may not fit on as they should (eg not meeting the required no. of turns)

18x7.5 with a 40 offset will most likely not fit.

Hey does anyone know what the exact offset is for the Levin? Would a 43mm fit?

Factory offset is +38 I believe.
And the factory width is 6" so you'll need a higher offset if you want to go much wider.

My rims a 6.5" wide with +40 offset and I have tons of room everywhere. (only 15s though)
