Good Engineer in ChCh required

Can any recommend a good engineer in Christchurch? Someone that's got a big arse lathe?

Royce Clive, I dont know if there lathe is big enough, but they do good work. in the shops behind Beaurepaires at sockburn roundabout.

ok thanks I'll give them a bell - I'm basically wanting to be able to spin a strut tube, so the bed has to be pretty deep

they have jigs for doing that. If you are shortening tubes and re-threading, another option is you can buy a threade sleeve type thing from autolign such that you just cut the strut, and weld this but on the top, its what i used and works mint. Then again i have no idea what ur actually doing :P

But anyway all sorted have found a guy to do it so hopefully all will turn out well.
