Strut Braces - Will a 101 Aftermarket fit a 92?

Postby LEVIN GTV » Tue Jan 09, 2007 3:13 am

Hey Guys,

Just a quick question. Wondering whether a strut brace (aftermarket) from a 101 Corolla will fit a 92 Levin?

Didnt think it did, but just wondering...
Has anyone tried?

Thanks as always

Sorry.
Don't know if the 101 will fit the 92. But are you looking to swap them for a reason?

I don't claim to know everything... That doesn't mean it isn't true....

I currently have the stock 92 Brace in place. Have access to an aftermarket strut brace (stronger and more durable) but it is from a 101.

Wanting to know if they are interchangable before I get this strutbrace from my friend

No, they are not interchangeable. I tried to test fit my Ae101 TRD 3 way brace to my mates ae92 fx and it wouldn’t fit. AE101 and AE111 are interchangeable however.

Its a little weak. Although its a 3 point strut brace which is technically better than an aftermarket 2, it is easily maneoverable when it is removed...

Im seeking a strut brace to strengthen the chasis up front a little more...

Some people simply retain the factory brace and triangulate it with an additonal brace accross the strut towers. The generic two way braces are quite cheap and might be worth a thought.
