For it to sell, witch it wont, it will have to undercut the upcoming M3 (the benchmark) buy $10-15k, so NZ$135,000-NZ$140,000, (or 25 soarers) so I wouldn’t be surprised if Lexus NZ didn’t bring it in to the country, just like we didn’t get the IS350.

I would imagine this car to be very soft in comparison to the M3 and RS4, for a start it’s has an automatic, so im guessing it will be a burger and fry’s jap-mericana special.

the euros are tripping over themselves for a viable alternative to the standard euro muscle cars. if lexus can price it right and make the vehicle good enough then it could work. they also have to change their image in europe, as they arent known for sporty models there.

You right it could work.

Lexus has built a great rep in the USA & UK-Europe for customer service, reliability, and build quality, Lexus now faces the task of convincing the Europeans that they can build a car to rival the established big players dynamically, it will take time.

One upside is, being a Toyota, in few years when mere mortals can afford one, it will still be running sweet and nothing will have fallen off , Something the Europeans aren’t to flash at!

It sure will be cool if they do, I called up Lexus New Zealand office and they told me that it will come to NZ only if they make it a world model, he said we will get the Australian version.

havnt looked into the TRD aurion.
id say we'd probably get a few, like 10. but it wont be a huge seller.
performance models just dont sell in NZ.

Usually because the jap imports undercut the new performance models. We were getting secondhand almost new GT legacys before they were sold here for around 10-15k cheaper. makes poeple think twice about a new car

Have never seen a supercharged Camry, so cant comment, the Corolla GT was hardly even a performance model, there are euro diesel hatches that are quicker plus it was overpriced, and the st205 GT4 was nearly $90k when new need I say more!

Go tell a Ford\Mazda, Holden, VW, Subaru, dealer performance models don’t sell !
