From some place.....

AW11 - use an E51, with the linkages facing forwards
AE92/92 - use an E58 and E52. Quite rare to get an LSD though, if you do, it will 90% likely be a MAP sensor version.
AE101 - use E58, and LSDs are far more common.
E58-474 -> open centre
E58-11C -> LSD
E58-XX* -> where XX are two numbers, if * is odd, you have LSD.
E58 LSD and NON-LSD CV shafts are non-interchangeable.
E51 LSD and NON-LSD CV shafts ARE interchangable.

Oh ok so the e51 lsd and non lsd shafts are the same( i thought so as if mine went in any further they would hit). So last question will my e51 shafts fit the e153 viscous lsd when in a e51 g/box or will i need Mr2 inner cv's for that to work?

90% sure that the E153 sw20 VLSD and non LSD shafts are the same. In saying that, having had a quick compare of the e51 AW11 manual and E153 SW20 shafts they seem the same. Hence they should work. As for putting a VLSD into a E51 or other E series...pass. There was a mention of housing size differences because of how the VLSD works. Helical and plate are straight swap in though. Go figure.
