And the resolution of your map isnt user definable? Stuck at 500rpm increments, and costs AU1395, and is not definable untill the E8 at AU1795. Yet the less expensive G3 can be.

Has Haltech got the new WRX active valve control system configurable yet?

Point is, different ECU manufacturers have different advancements at different points in their life. Not all can be the best in every area, resources dont allow it. And to compare apples with apples with what you are getting, the price should be the same for both products. Also, some have features others dont even when the product is cheaper... its just how the industry is.

Most of the result from the ECU comes from the tuner IMO.

your a bit simple ant ya
first you miss the point that stx7 was bagging the squirt
now youve miss the point that anything is poissible given enough money

dont get into disscussions when you clearly have no idea what you are even dribblng about

but just to be sure you can uderstand things
you use outputs for

fans
boost control
traction control
sprayers
nos
fuel pump
diff control
vvtil controll
co2 spray control
varable lenght trumpet control
verable vaine turbo control

voltage output ....
soem contoll=ers require a 0-5v varible signal...some need a 0-12 volt variable

as for 16 injectors....

when you get into high hp you need large injectors
the larger teh injector the harder it is to control
so instead of haveing 8 2000 cc injectors
you might have 16 1000 ones

BTW if a max power figure inpresses you to buy a ecu then get this
i could take a fequency controller/dyno and a wideband and with one knob get you a 1000 hp figgure
its the drivability thats important
heres another fact for you
if your gunna be putting 4 bar into a engine you will have spent 30-40k on the build
anyone with half a brain ant gunna trust that much money to a POS 400 dollar bit of breadboard and a handfull of cheap bits

just because you dont know enough to understand why there are thses options dosent mean there not important\just means you arnt

So the point is they have made almost no advancement in 6 years with their ECU? Cheers for that Captian Obvious. And cheers for turning an informative and useful thread into another one of your bitch and flame fests.

You are seriously telling me to go back to school when every third word you type is a mis-spelt mess? No wonder no one takes you seriously.

Exactly, so why not save it for people who care? Issue is you dont understand what people write, and no one can read your mess. So you resort to name calling and start talking about $32,000 crankshafts you make for your customers.

and yes i do know a little bit about ecus having played with megasquirts a bit. and my comment to you regarding paying you.. was a little dry humour.. but never mind you seem to be very highly strung.

Right so now we have a whole page of pointless dribble from both parties, not very constructive is it?

Leave it alone people. PM your differences to each other so the rest of us don't need to read about it...

For the record,
This thread did contain some useful material, however, I couldn't see a graceful way of stripping the noise out of it.

If you're interested, please start a new thread and quote/link relevant information.

I'm getting VERY sick of PM's asking me to reopen this thread.

I agree the info in this thread is useful. Thats the reason it hasn't been removed.

Start a new thread, quoting material from this one and/or providing links (each individual post has its own URL, note the icon found top-left-corner of the post) if you wish to continue the discussion.

Even better, start a new one in the Tech area perhaps...
