Freight/Courier within New Zealand

Postby TOYO-GT-T » Wed Jan 24, 2007 6:56 pm

Can anyone recommend a good freight/courier company which can send car mags within New Zealand at a good price?

I am based in Wellington.

I work for a company that contracts to a few freight companys and i have one peice of advice.

Package your wheels VERY well.

wrap the wheels in bubble wrap and then cardboard. it may be a hastle but at least you know they will be ok.

Toll
Mainfreight
PBT
Courierpost
NZ Couriers

They are all as bad as each other..... but Courierpost usually is the best.

You need to find out if the company you are going to use does residential deliverys.

Mainfreight will not deliver mags to a house. THe person will have to collect them from teh closest depot.

Yes, but generally cheaper for you to drop off/pick up at depot.

They will if its from a business, but not a personal.

If I wanted to send a bike to a customer, mainfreight will take them to the door, but once I wanted to send one with cash, not on my account (for cashy reasons...), and they refused to send it to the door. Yet, when i said "fine, put it on the account" they are happy to.

$&#$% if I know where.
