Trying to take airflow meter of and run straight k&N FIL

IM TRYING TO TAKE OUT THE AIR FLOW METER AND RUN STRAIGHT KN FILTER CAN I DO IT. AND WILL IT DAMAGE THE ENGINE IF DONE.

you need the afm, unless you have a aftermarket ecu

how alse are you gona mount it if it cant bolt up to the AFM


& NO an AFM is not like a apendix they are accually put there for a reason

i wouldent have thort so i thort they were MAP

what douse your AFM apair to look like

Im not sure but the afm looks like small box just after the intake throttle body chamber, then after the small afm box is the filter box

if its AFM it will go filter-pipe-AFM-pipe-TPS-manfold is it like that

No you can not do that. The airflow meter is in there to meter how much air goes into the engine. Its the primary signal to tell the ECU how much fuel is needed for the engine to run.

If you get rid of it your car will not go

i think its best you get some one alse to look at you car & conform what set up your ruuning first or can you take a pic so we can conform what your talking about

TPS= throtle pission sensour
manfold = the bit that bolts to the head & the TPS

It will be filter box, afm, pipe, plenum, quads

you can't remove the AFM

cant you replce it with someting else. because ive got a scoop on my hood and i wanna ram air down straight into the modified throttle body box ramming the cold air straight in.

you cant remove the afm unless you do sumthen long the lines of a aftermarket ecu, or run a blacktop map loom and ecu

Your options are keep the AFM, or buy an aftermarket computer and run a MAP sensor. Those are your choices.
