Hey all, a mate of mine has a 1994 BH familia dohc 1.8.
The issues started when a mate of his took off an ignition lead (dizzy side) so it ran on three cylinders for a bit, the car was turned off then the lead put back on.
Ever since then the car will run rough when the accelerator is pushed full when idling. But if the accelerator is gradually eased on the car will run fine. So when full throttle from idle the car will sound almost like it's running on 3 but only in between 1000 - 2000rpm, after that it goes fine.
It also had bit of a starting issue which seems to have gone now.
I was thinking it may be the lead or the TPS, does anyone know how much resistance the lead is supposed to show?
Or how to accurately diagnose a faulty TPS?
Any other thoughts?
