The AE92's didnt have the leather option. One of our customers has one he's had since new, its a very nice car. Dont think its worth more than a JDM one though.

The AE-92 NZ new GT-i was imported fully assembled, they do have a few different features to the FX-GT though.

If I recall correctly the earlier ones were but most we're assembled at Thames.

True, I never realized that, as far as knew they were all imported fully assembled, I have seen a couple for sale with unpainted bumpers and side skirts, they were most likely the NZ-Assembled ones!

Found http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 279326.htm on Trade-Me, looks nice (would rather a import AE86 Trueno with flip lights) any one know if these are NZ assembled?

They might have, but then TNZ only sold about 50 of them, so it would make sense to just import them.

That guy is asking a bit for it though, for 10k you can get alot more car than that. Some one will buy I guess though, poor b****d that does

Yeah, 50 or so is the rumor. I don't know if any one has the real figure.

That car wouldn't be what I'd consider mint, but they do seem to go for stupid prices in my eyes. I suppose you get the whole genuine thing going for them but still.

Only for the right buyer I suppose...

The rumour I'd heard was that they were imported by TNZ and registered as NZ new.

Did they still have a 180kph dash?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
