The AE-92 NZ new GT-i was imported fully assembled, they do have a few different features to the FX-GT though.

If I recall correctly the earlier ones were but most we're assembled at Thames.
True, I never realized that, as far as knew they were all imported fully assembled, I have seen a couple for sale with unpainted bumpers and side skirts, they were most likely the NZ-Assembled ones!
id be very very AMAZED id any ae86s were assembled here.
also i reckon there was more than 50.
hell, in my time at toyota iv coma across at least 25.
also 10k for a mint nz one is not unherad of.
the record price i know of is $13000.
Yeah, 50 or so is the rumor. I don't know if any one has the real figure.
That car wouldn't be what I'd consider mint, but they do seem to go for stupid prices in my eyes. I suppose you get the whole genuine thing going for them but still.
The rumour I'd heard was that they were imported by TNZ and registered as NZ new.
Did they still have a 180kph dash?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
