ae92 gtz fuel use problem

Postby devius » Thu Mar 08, 2007 6:00 pm

hey people

my ae92 gtz has started using more than the normal amount of petrol
the spark plugs are pretty rooted so im getting more but its not just that (i think) when i start it from cold the revs go up and drop down a few times then settles, the same happens when its warm except its worse and it does not settle until it cools down.

could it be the A.F.M?

any idea's?

there is a mixture screw on the afm, should be easy to see, but if thats been tinkered with it can stuff the idle etc. (DO NOT PLAY WITH IT) unless you measure exactly where it is FIRST. trust me from personal experience lol.

also yeah change the plugs.

how many kms you getting to a tank???

Change plugs and check fault codes first. If plugs dont fix it then go from there

Could be your oxy sensor. My one was stuffed in my S/C AW11 and it would use a bit more gas. It would occasionally throw a check engine light too. Got it replaced and it was sweet.

count the falshes then there should be a short pause and then more flashes then a long pause the a repeat or another code

i.e flash flash flash flash flash short pause flash long pause repeat - error code 51
