Any radiators with the in/out pipes on the left hand side?

Postby RomanV » Thu Mar 29, 2007 8:54 pm

As above...

I'm looking for a radator for my Carina, and it would be much neater/more convenient, to have the radiator pipes on the left hand side, instead of the right.

Are there any factory toyota radiators (which have fairly good cooling capacity) with the pipes on the right hand side?

Or does anyone have any good suggestions on what sort of radiator I should use?

Carry on with the theme and use an Altezza one?
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

if your current one is up to the task, just get them moved over. its a real straight forward process, especially if you have access to someone who can weld. only a 30min job to swap both in/outlet over probably...

and it already bolts straight in!

You might even be able to get your current one recored/another core added to make it do the job.

Getting any sort of fabrication work done would be against the spirit of this project.

Not a bad idea!
Although if this carries on much more, I might have to rebadge it as a carezza or altina or something. :P

The original radiator is well and truly $&#$%! The hose pipe end is partially broken at the top, and most of the fins have discintegrated.
Put it this way, the car used to overheat when I was giving the 3AU a bit of stick.
There's no point in recoring the radiator I've got, but perhaps getting another carina/corona/etc radiator in better condition, and recoring that could be a good idea.

Found a picture of an altezza radiator, looks like it'll be perfect!

Pipes where I want them to be, and obviously it will be good enough for the engine. :)

Trademe, here I come. :P
