What turbo does a 98 Caldina GT-T run standard on a 3SGTE

Any help would be appreciated thanks ! I own a Caldina GT-T but haven't got It yet its in Auckland on th port I get it on Monday ! But I just want to know what turbo they run

iirc they are a different unit again from the ct20b/ct26

Nope, they have the same compressor, but a different exhaust turbine. It's a single entry steel turbine. Not sure what it's called in the real world, but I've seen a few references to it's internet persona being know as a CT15B :twisted:

Slightly off topic but the exhaust wheel looks smaller then on CT20b..
also they have poorly designed one piece exhaust manifold/exhaust turbine housing.
I think Toyota decided to save some money and ditch twin entry same time...

I'm just wanting to find out what the turbo is because I'm trying to find a stainless manifold for it

Can't be done, the manifold and the turbo are one piece. If you are going to replace the turbo as well then any manifold for a Gen III 3S-GTE will fit.

also i am pretty sure driven performance will be selling off the shelf manifolds to go with a t3/t4 for a gt-t

Where? Not that I've ever seen, nor for that matter do GenIII CT20B's

the only marking they have is toyota

unless your getting comfused with a shitty old ct20 off a 3t

if your only reason for this is to wastegate it you can get a port welded on to the stock one

because it sounds cool, and you can " 'gate it" past the 5-0 and get yo car impounded au :wink:


believe it or not, i have actually heard the word gate used as a verb in that context :roll:

i wouldn't bother but yea there is no point other than the sound, a person on trademe who has just done that for the sound buy the looks but yeh big waste off $500 on a stock turbo
