First up, can anyone tell me if the main flange that bolts to the head is the same between the GE and GTE? (I think i'm talking Gen 2 here, ST185, SW20)
Secondly, is there any difference between the SW20 and ST185 Turbo manifolds?
Thirdly, long shot, but does anyone have any photos of either the SW20 or ST185 with a GTE and exhaust manifold in the bay, but no turbo, just to see the factory positioning of the manifold in regards to where everything else sits. (Hopefully this makes some sense!)
Why? I'm thinking along the lines of when going rear drive.... From what I've seen, if the engine's kept on the original angle the original intake manifold could be used, and wondering where the turbo's going to sit (i.e Halfway thru the strut tower or up thru the bonnet)
Perhaps a GE manifold could be modded to work if the flange is the same?? Or perhaps it's easier to just get a custom jobbie from the start-It's all $$$ tho!
Anyway, any comments/ideas/etc would be appreciated-All in the name of R&D!!
