2JZ-GTE Question

Postby toy_s14 » Mon Apr 09, 2007 4:56 pm

The water light comes on when I'm driving up hill. The radiator is full and the overflow bottle is almost full. Any suggestions as to this problem? Car is an Aristo '92

Cheers
Eddy

That would be my bet.

Squirt the window washers for a minute and see if it stay on all the time,

or just fill it up.

dodgey wiring maybe. Years ago I worked on an old celica that had an intermittant misfire, mostly when going up hills. turns out the HT lead to the coil had been replaced and was a little bit short, when the engine torqued over when given a bootful it used to pull the lead out, engine would miss and settle back down, lead used to slot back in.

Well when I first got the car, the light didn't come on. I've filled up the window washer bottle and the light didn't come on until this morning.....

The radiator over flow bottle has a low water sensor in it

Remove the bottle from car clean out the crud top up with nice clean H20 plug sensor back in no more problem
