I went for a dull silver paint on mine, polished look can be be a pain on a manifold with all the nooks and crannies. Man 7m's look messy

yeah, 7ms are abit cluttered, probably due to the intake over the engine and the coils sitting on top of the engine.

the sound and power they make more than makes up for that though

What ever you do, dont make everything a really 'loud' colour.

Like bright orange breather lines, bright orange rocker cover, bright orange intake manifold, etc etc.

Looks cheesy and tacky, IMO.

I want to make my engine look like it was factory fitted, and all nice and tidy. Rather than looking like something that doesnt belong in there.

custom manifold would really tidy them up but then is the alt in the way. Honestly just painted silver or bead blasted ally manifold etc looks way better than polished/hpc coated for a clean look

this 1j manifold is just painted a toyota silver looks mint

yeah alternator is in the way, but can relocate that to where the a/c compressor usually sits.

but not going to bother i dont think.

That was back when we did the head gasket so it was still being put together. Can't remember if the cover went back on. Looks way different now anyway

make sure you clean those oil lines out good.....personally i wouldnt have got them blasted cause all it takes is a trace of glass in there and buy buy turbo...
imo id go as far as to find some new ones or get some braded ones made

one thing with polishing is its high maintainence to keep looking good.where hpc you could just spray clean with the hose

thats what filters are for, and beside they have been blown out with compressed air so far and pipes will be ultrasonically cleaned and then fresh oil flowed through them. no chance of problems.

Yeah, quite liking the look of the parts at the moment, should be one bling engine.
