is this normal?

Postby pjay » Fri May 25, 2007 12:59 pm

I drive a 92 gtz levin.

when i launch or accelerate hard my steering wheel pulls HARD to the right?

is most of my power being transferred through the one wheel?

is this normal? if not, what is it and how can i fix it?

Thanks

Do you have the same compound tyres on the front. Is your wheel alignment, toe/camber etc correct?

right drive shaft is a 2 piece shaft, gearbox side piece hangs of the block on the bearing (just before inner CV-joint). you can check if the bearing is ok by grabbing the inner shaft and trying to wonble it arround.
The reasoning behid 2 piece shaft design is to reduce torque steer (by making both of the outer shafts, which are on the angle, equal). Correct me if I am wrong ;).

OK i got this all the time in my mazda turbo isnt it just torque steering?? No lsd making one wheel spin when boost kicks in and turning that wheel only, pulling the car to that side. Hey i have no idea just taking a guess

if its non lsd and its torque steer it would prolly pull to the left as the left axel is closer making it easyer to put more power there (what happend on c56 anyway)

Almost certainly you have worn joints in your superstrut suspension.
Email Mr Revhead and he will do you a good price on toyota genuine replacement parts - do not buy remanufactured or aftermarket superstrut parts as they don't last.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
