Motec & boost control

Postby Wolf_Tm250 » Sat Jul 14, 2007 11:44 pm

Hello,

I need to control boost vs. rpm, and so I have to remove my Blitz SBC and control a solenoid valve with my Motec M4Pro output...

Question:

what kind/type of solenoid valve should I buy to control the boost ( external wg ) ?

Thanks in advance.

I use the GM/Delco boost contol solenoid that Motec sells, though it's far cheaper if you can find a GM parts supplier that will sell you one (most will only sell to US customers).

Part #s are;

1997152 - Delco Boost Control Solenoid
12102747 - Connector for solenoid.

OR,

1990 RS legacy have a denso 3 port solenoid in them,
it's under a cover by the 4 channel igniter on the R/H? strut tower.

That's we use with our M600, and we used with our links etc too.

Thank you for the advice.

Unfortunately I'm not able to find GM or older Subaru parts here in Italy...

I'll buy the Motec valve then...

Bye !

Sorry fivebob,

but a US friend checked for me gmparts and the 12102747 seems to be a
radiator cap...

GMPartsdirect.com lists it in the Radiator Tank Cap category, but calls it a Connector. It is definitely the correct part # and someone is selling one on EBay for $US7.50. Perhaps you could ask them if the can get the solenoid as well.

Hello,

finally I received the GM solenoid this morning !

Any advice on how to connect the 2 hoses for the external wastegate, and the wires to the M4 ecu ?

Thanks.
