for toyota parts follow this

without looking at it no one will know exactly why your cars knocking, so unless you have the know-how to find ouit yourself... best to get it checked out by a professional

I had this problem in my AE111 BZ-G Levin, with super strut. I found it to be the suspension knuckle, its a little link between the lower arm & something else, only a couple of inches long with a hole in one end & a tapered ball-joint like end. These allways have a tendency to wear out. You can get a re-conditioned one from somewhere like john bates suspension, or go genuine for about 4x The price. Hope this helps.

I think it's the bit i've circled in red with two inner ball joints (according to a mechanic)

I have the same problem in my AE111 BZ-R levin, it started off as a squeeking sound - now the ball joint is worn out

Toyota have quoted me $244+GST for the part

Just check its not on the arm that that little one bolts to. Have seen a few wear out that centre joint. And getting those 2 arms apart can be a bitch of a job and you don't want to be doing it twice, especially if you end up damaging the thread on the longer arm which is quite likely

Changed the little piece over tonight relatively easy (using only a jack, some spanners and a few other tools)

Found out also it is the lower arm that the small piece (above in red) fits onto that's causing the sqeeking sound. so i suspect the ball joints in that are also on their way... anyone have a fair idea on the price of that part?
