AE85/6 brake final clarification

Postby ke25sr » Mon Sep 17, 2007 9:03 pm

From what i have picked up the AE86 disc will bolt onto the AE85 hub.
please correct me if im wrong

I have me a set of AE85 struts and want to put some vented discs on. So i reckon 86 has to be the best option.

i don't plan to us the 86 discs just far to expensive and hard to find.
If anyone knows of a good option please let me no. Otherwise i reckon just make a new back plate and bolt on something else

Any way im looking for ideas please. Keeping in mind i have 14" wheels so i cant go to big

Thanks

bolt on something else, you can get way better braking power for the money that ae86 brakes go for,

ae86 rotors are cheap...

then again so are all toyota rotors.
if your wanting to up grade then id look into what else can bolt to the hub and look at custom brackets for some skyline calipers.
or if the strock ae86 rotors are ok get some of those and fit a caliper thats easier to obtain

early 626 disc is one easy option, I can get the part No. if you like. They need redrilling but once mounted you can use a flat plate for your brake bracket.

Yea im keen on the 86 discs im still pricing them up. and making a custom bracket to fit a decent caliper is also a awesome idea.

Would defiantly like the part number. Are these Vented?
Have you done this? If you have what caliper was used?
