Hey Nick how did you get on in the end, as i said the best we ended up with was a 11.1 with low boost and just driving off the line, how come your not coming next week? have you got that wastgate on yet i think that will make a lot of difrence with keeping your boost up.blackmk3 wrote:Drop your tyre pressures also to around 15 odd psi pulls much better traction with my supra
When i once had auto i found it takes alot of practice to get the stall RPM right, to little and it bogs and ur slow off the line, to much and you end up wheel spinning at the line
Also like matt dunn said squeese the accelerator to the floor when you take off or your tyres will just spin, good luck! bummer i cant be at these drags was at last weeks tho it was a good event!

I think the best way with the auto is time it with the lights as soon as the timing lights start to move put throtle to the floor hold brake on hard soon as the green let it all go, if you do get a bit of wheel spin that is good stops you from bogging and gives you a better 60ft, i will be down there next drags just look out for a red mk3 supra with mcr down the side.avinesh wrote:ok guys takin my soarer out to nite speed drag wars next week friday just wondering if you guys have any advice for me on launchin it.... its auto by the way its got a 1jzgte with intake, exhaust an front mount intercooler made 220.2 rwkw at the dyno........its also non lsd which suks since it easily breaks traction, its got 235 45 17s at the back with 9inch rims would wheels with more profile like fatter side walls help traction but lets say less wide like 225s any advice would be helpfull thanks......

Thats why i said wait till the stage lights start moving, that gives him 3 seconds to bring stall up but not hold it on the stall so he dos not cook it, this way will drop is 60 foot.matt dunn wrote:audi man wrote:I think the best way with the auto is time it with the lights as soon as the timing lights start to move put throtle to the floor hold brake on hard soon as the green let it all go.
And after about 20 runs like that,
book it in to have the auto trans replaced.
Holding both the gas hard down and the brake hard on burns the oil in th auto and is hard on gear, especailly if it is making any reasonable amount of power at stall speed.
