Supra help needed.

Postby suprakid » Thu Nov 22, 2007 9:14 pm

My supra (GA70 1986) has some little problems that need to be fixed:

1. I lock the door and then when i come back to it in the morning its unlocked, it's unlocking by itself, and i don't know how to fix it.

2. The Brake warning light on the dash is constantly lit, there's no bulb out, what wrong there?

Help me!

not too sure on #1 but #2 there is a "brake light out" control box in the rear which tells lights up the light in the dash. - this gets some corrosion going on and makes it think there is one blown.

have a search on google - cant rememebr where i seen the details for it at the moment...

even join www.supraforums.com - awesome tech and all that stuff there :)

If your brake warning light on the dash is permanently on and your handbrake is down, put some fluid in your master cylinder as they have a sensor which tells you when its low on fluid, activates the same light as the handbrake light.

As for the vehicle unlocking itself... it sounds like the rod would be slightly bent and isn't settling into the "locked" position properly and the tension is causing it to unlock again?

Is it just one door or both doors?
