What do you think of personalised plates?

Love them? Dont Care? Loath them?

I don't mind some. [DOCILE] when it was a road car was one of my favourites I ever saw, and my plate I (obviously) don't mind. Personally I'm not a fan of the "xxx ON P", "SIK...", "PHAT", "...ETA" type ones.

Yeah, I plan on getting [CUTE R] for the ITR, true story.

Meh they're alright if they're cheap or free. Wouldn't pay the asking price for a new one though 8O

bogus ones like 4ATEU are lame.

dumbass ones like REDCRX (no shit sherlock) are lame.

funny / random ones are cool, but way overpriced. SLOGSR and DOCILE are two that spring to mind as good plates.

anything making reference to skids, drift, lowness, rotarys etc needs to DIE IN A FIRE.

Personally I prefer plates which are either cryptic but clever or proper words - I hate ones with 4 instead of A, 1 instead of I etc.

Also, having had personalised plates on my daily-driver for the last 7 years I would not have a personalised plate on my road car again. They draw too much attention and random people say "oi, I saw you at such and such". And it makes you more of a repeat target for road-ragers. When I sell my roadie the plates are going onto the rally car, not my new road car.
We know that four-wheel drive doesn't work in a racing car, and I proved to myself that it doesn't work very well for rallycross. I'm absolutely convinced that it has no future in rallying, either, even if the regulations allowed it. - Roger Clark (rallying legend), circa 1976

Totally agree - harder for people to remember your plate when it's normal as well..

I do wish they'd bring back the old black plates tho.

Best plate i've seen was on a porsche - AVAVOM - when you see it come up behind you it looks wicked in your rearview

You sure it wasn't TI3VOM That you saw on the Porsche? Cause that was on one.

Saw 68IOU1 on a Falcon wagon once... Driven by a mid 30's woman too!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
