Going by date is not a good indicator of compliance.
Some BMW's 1992 are OK, Silvias from 1995 etc. I have seen a ST205 in Japan 1997 but doesn't comply as chassis no. misses the cut.
The fact the Batty has airbags indicates compliance, if it's chassis is before what I posted get shot of it fast, as someone has posted LTSA can revoke it's reg.

I really cant agree with that. Aside from the fact the autos have a lower power to start with, its just not the same. The rx7 is a purists car, so an auto in my view dilutes the whole experience.

Its a shame you did have these come up earlier, i would of gladly bought the series 7 off ya. But ive turned to getting a gen 1 rx7 now :lol:


Finally realised you're too soft for an FD eh? :P

Also yes, auto FD's are gäy. Gäy gäy gäy gäy gäy. I've only driven the one but it really lacked the feel of the manual ones. Also they're not exactly the torquiest of engines, and the auto really accentuates that.

Nah, johns lavender one scarred me for life :lol: And i been dealing with an FD for 3 years now, its time for a change :wink:

I disagree with your comments about torque. 13brew's have more torque than a 3sgte, and 20b's have as much as your average V* :P

Since when is 294nm more than 304nm? Plus you have to wait till 5000rpm till you get it in the RX. You have it all the way from 3200rpm in the 3s. :P

Series 8's have 330nm :wink: but i see your point, series 6 do have a little less.

buy car
car starts idling high
take car off road
pay mechanic $1400
mechanic replaces manifold gasket for you
drive car for 270kms of pure rotary bliss
pull home, car making creaking noise from rear
car off road again...

Oh, you dont want me to get started on my red FD. That thing cost me close to 10 grand. And i still never got to drive it after it first died in 2005 :cry:

Since when has an FD been factory fitted with a 20B ;) But the main point was that they lack low end torque.

Factory they do lack low end torque.. But very easy to fix that!!!

So when are you going to get yourself another Rotary Brad?

Once the sedan/wedding is done, then I can look into it. Petrol will probably be $800 p/litre at that stage though :(

S 1 FTW, 5 years of happy motoring with mine...when petrol was 80 something cents a litre 8)
