He also got an AE86 running better than another tuner in Hamilton who does have a dyno and had the car for a day to see why it felt flat. As soon as Ivan looked at the numbers after he'd hooked it all up he knew something wasn't right. Turned out the vacuum line to the Link had come off and the dyno tuner couldn't find what the problem was. It was Ivan's experience that found the problem and that is the sort of tuner you're wanting to find and use.

"Yeah the dyno is safer and more importantly, allows you to properly tune your ignition which is fairly critical for reliability. You can definitely get a driveable fuel map from road tuning (private roads only etc) but the final 10% and the ignition map really require a dyno.
