Postby Calvin » Thu May 01, 2008 4:04 pm

FROM PEOPLES EXPERIENCE.. is it possible/troublefree to remove a SC while the engine is in the bay.

or

Is it better to pull the motor out

Does anyone have any better ideas ? or suggestions

Motor is of course 4agze bigport in ae92 gtz and will be removing supercharger to put n/a intake for 4agte

you pretty much need to take the inlet side off. you can leave some of it but its easier to remove the whole inlet

It is troublesome to do it either way. it is possible to do it with the motor in place.

personally i'd do it with the motor in place. Dont pull the motor if you dont have to

if it were me i would remove the engine, but thats cause id get f#$ked off with the space avalible in the engine bay.

i take it your exaust manifold will be coming off anyway so it will have to be unbolted regardles.

unhooking/reconecting the loom is easy, and fluids can saved and reused.
might find your mounts need replacing iswell.
the faster u go, the quicker u get there

its not to bad to do in place,

need a decent 14mm tube socket and power bar to undo the lower mount bolt

it is easier to remove the inlet manifold to get to some of the bolts, but not absolutely nucessary
