Non Super-strut
Worthwhile asking if they are superstrut or not to confirm if they in fact did come with lsd

BZG|Bling wrote:park a wheel on grass, the other on the road and try take off fast. easy way to tell. LSD to take off, non-LSD you spin the wheel on grass

Factory had NO LSD
I have since put a superstrut gearbox in it which IS LSD, easiest way i found to tell is drive at 50km/h in 4th, if it sits just on or slightly over 2000rpm its LSD, if it sits well over more like 2200 - 2300 rpm its Non-LSD, the LSD boxes have a different final drive. Thats was the giveaway when i put the new box in my car, well besides the 2 black lines i left on the workshop floor
Long story short ALL non superstrut ones I personally have seen have been non LSD, all superstrut ones i have seen have had LSD and the bigger twin-pot brakes
Also the whole one wheel on grass thing, from what i understand these are viscous LSDs from the factory, they work as a normal LSD when both wheels are on the same surface, when they are not they work as an open diff (eg. Grass and Tarmac or Tarmac and Gravel)
I hope this helps?
If anybody knows any different please let me know, ide hate to be giving out incorrect info

That'll be a 5speed box too, the 6speed ones are doing close to 3000rpm in 4th at 50
