Mine runs between 10 and 14psi depending on gear and atmos conditions. (was) Completely factory apart from boost guage too. I didn't use the bov line for boost guage though, I tee'd of something else coming from the manifold from memory.

if some one before you has disabled the vsv then your car will run off the actuator spring which is between 6 to 9 psi depending on condition of spring

only mods on mine are a 3" exhaust to the cat (came like that from Japan)
I have a 3" dump pipe on order for it
the stupid air pod mod (once again it was like that) I'm after the factory airbox
and it's been lowered with jap lowered springs

only mods I'm looking at doing is the dump pipe, fmic and return
to factory air box.

I have put on a boost tap and it does go to 13 psi but it boost spikes
so hence the reason for trying to get it back to factory
under the engine bay there does not seem to be any other mods
it has the right plug and hoses going to the turbo vsv
how/why would someone disable the vsv?

my boost guage is coming of the intake manifold too

Allow about an hour, it can be a lot quicker than that if you get lucky, and have the right tools.

Right tools??

A type of extension that has a reverse taper on the drive end that allows the extension to drive the socket from an angle. Sort of like a universal but much easier to use.
