See below it looks like if you mount to oe points your ok. But then the question is if you mount it to factory rails (weld or bolt) that mount to oe points is that alright. A friend ( fitter and turner by trade) mounted reclineable momos to factory rails but the wof guy said because he had welded / bolted the seats to the rails he still needed a cert.
Or mount it to MSNZ specs not using oe seat points and get an authority card.
One problem you might run into is if your seat belt is mounted to the seat and you have to move the mounting point.

Seat modifi cation or replacement or
installation of a seat anchorage after
1/3/1999
• the modifi cation was carried out before March 1999 and meets all other requirements, or
• the seat is either an OE seat from another vehicle or of a known and reputable aftermarket
brand, and
– the seat is fi tted to unmodifi ed OE seat anchorages, and
– the anchorage or operation of seatbelts is not aff ected, and
– the relationship between seat, seat occupant, and location of the seatbelt anchorages
is not aff ected, and
– the vehicle is not fi tted with airbags in that seating position.
(Note that LVV certifi cation is not required where the only modifi cation is the removal of seats and/or
seatbelts. However, a class change and a new load rating may be required in some cases.)
