How does one remove the rear sway bar on a ST185?

Ive got the front replaced but i cant undo the sway bar form the rear shocks, is there a special nack to it or is the thread on my nut un doing so far and then just free spinning, and if so how does one stop it? theres nothing on the back that will allow you to open it up, and this nut and bolt unit just spins what feels like its undoing but doesnt..

put star or hex (can't remember which one) into insert and use spanner on nut to loosen.

Get a ring spanner over the nut, then put an allen key in the centre.

allen key socket would be good instead of the fiddly allen keys

yeah took me a while to figure this out on the MR2 before I tried sticking an allen key in the end

jamming it tight with vice grips also works good although with ur coilovers, doesn't look like an option

Mint, i need to find somthing to clean out the crusty allenkey holes, i figured that was what was up but it was so hard to get a key into it due to rust etc

Soak them in CRC for a bit too. Strip that Allen hole out and you're in trouble

Yeah ive got some stuff from work to do the trick on that jobby or else im naffed.. Hopefully it stops raining so i can finish fitting them at lunchtime today and get some pics up..

ARGH blasted buggery bollox of a thing!!! Stupid nut and bolt at the base of the 4th strut has knacked 2 extensions, 1 power bar encounting.. Including a rattle gun that couldnt budge it :/
