Decided "If this car can't make it around this corner at this speed in the dry, I don't want it"... Now I don't have it Cressidas on standard springs are NOT epic grip machines!!

Saw a little rust bubble under the paint and poked at it with my keys... Ended up taking a 200mm by 15mm bit of steel out.. completely rusted through haha.

Same thing happened on the chassis rail of one of my cars! So badly rusted just covered up with a bit of underseal. But all the steel behind had rusted right through but was being held in place by underseal.

i once wired in my sterio direct to the battery and left the wire to the battery sitting on top of the head. and when driving down the road it burst into flames.. dirty black smoke every were

only thing is i didnt have timing right (too advanced), no extra fuel, no IC, no.... ummm was something else, on a T3 from skyline. boosted awesomes!

Rewired my cars alternator without the voltage regulator (had an external one) Wiring harness caught fire, didn't know what that black box did back when I first started playing with cars

Engine not starting after an engine swap, after weeks of trying to figure out what the hell was going on, started pulling the motor back out.
Found that one of the earth wires was tucked up under the intake manifold, instead of bolted to the block. Engine fired up after that, buuuuutt.....

Set the cam timing to the wrong mark, engine backfired out the intake and blew up my apexi pod filter. Engine/gbox back out to fix it.

Then the engine was going, temperature stable, etc etc. Put the car in reverse and CCCRRRRUUUNNNCCHHH BRRRRRR
Note to self: 3SGTE and 3SGE input shaft diameters are not the same.
Checking spline diameter before wrecking an expensive cusco clutch is advisable. Motor/gbox back out, spline on clutch rounded off.

Decided to put in my other motor, so got a new light weight flywheel & exedy clutch to suit 3SGE box.Then used an allen key to tighten clutch cover bolts, which eventually came loose of course. Engine/gbox back out to fix it.

Then my clutch blew up, and I thought "$&#$% this shit" and parted out the car.

Having a car that takes an hour to get the motor in or out suits my 'special needs' more than with MR2 that takes me a week or so every time I do something retarded.

Ahhhh, it's all a learning process I guess, not *quite* such a noob these days thankfully.

she is blond to say the least, she asked me why there was no water squirting out when she wanted to clean the windscreen, i said open the bonnet and fill the washer bottle with water,
15minuts later i get a phone call asking why her car would not start get over there and she filled the MOTOR to the brim with water!!!!

I mostly forget to disconnect the battery when doing stuff, nearly caught my ST162 on fire while swapping gearboxes

Could be worse. I know a guy who just got out of hospital due to removing a fuel pump from a tank with the battery disconnected and the key on. Wreckers lol

Dash lights stopped working after cleaning my interior, so checked all fuses, took dash cluster out, checked bulbs, checked connections etc etc....Put it back together and still didnt work!

Went and had a bite to eat.....came back and turned up the Dash light dimmer switch.

Rust bubble on A-pillar of my old ex lancer. Decided to press against it and then crack - a nice hole in what should have been metal but thanks to 20-something years of corrosion it was more rust than metal. Couple hundred dollars later and i had a nice professional repair

Took my fxgt padock bashing/boot racing in central otago, was really fun, untill I found a huge lump of schist rock (that i swear wasn't there 5 mins before) at speed of a jump with the passengers foot well.

Not cool after you've just got the car.

Though luckily no major damage, just bashed it back out with a hammer, still a bit of a lump there though.

I now drive slower off road, or use someone else's car with slightly higher ground clearance.


Except that time we took a mates AW11 down the Wanaka Lake outlet track after the sign that says 4wd only, it only bottomed about 6 times, lucky there so light to move

Trying to get Gizzmo shift light working. Had it hooked up to number one cylinder and yes i got zaped wile the car was running. Ended up going to the ecu to wire it in.
