my understanding is once information is written onto a chip like that it is there forever or until magnetic forces remove or alter it etc.
Yeah it is odd.
I may need to explore other avenues first, just to see what the story is.
It doesn't really bother me too much though, as the car is getting a new intercooler and some other stuff cleaned up (and some other secret little plans ), so will be going in for a full retune once all that's done.
Might change the fuel pump as well, seeing as it's a factory one from what I've been told.

yeah, mine ran mint at one point, not long after original tune, packed up at about 11pm, woke up at 7am to drive 6hrs home and wouldn't start, called tuner, all the dwell settings had changed, but how? who knows
and had another one, can't remember, oh, it randomly one night turned the launch control on, which i hadn't run for ages, and since i got it tuned at speedsource, how? i dont know,
link also have no idea. both times my laptop never went near it only to fault find and fix it.
