ae101 trueno dashboard warning lights

Postby h8wrxs » Mon Nov 17, 2008 7:15 pm

i got a problem

one of my warning lights has come on in the past few days and i cant figure out what it is

its the bottom wanring light under the engine light and its shaped like a car with rear lights on if that makes sense.

i was thinking it would be a blown bulb or something but all the bulbs on the car are mint?

any help would be appreciated

does it come on when the car starts up? the light usually only comes on when the set of lights used have a fault. eg if you got a brake light out, as soon as you touch the brakes, the light will come on
EP82 GT-went mega hard for completely stock, 15.09 quarter, gone now :(

yeah, the tail lights are fine, no blown bulbs

ive just recently had the car resprayed and had the spoiler removed but ive put a high mount lamp in the back window and that works fine as well??

oh well its obviously not a terribly bad thing then.

sounds like whoever put the high stop in used a feed from either the left or right brake light, and left the wiring for the old highstop in the spoiler hanging somewhere. probly need to bridge two of those, the place that removed the spoiler should have done this!

The dash light indicator works off the resistance in the circuit. If the new highstop is too much of a change from stock, then the dash light will come on. Don't ask me how you work out what it should be though!!
