Recomendations for 4agze oil pressure solution

Postby beeker » Sat Dec 20, 2008 9:01 pm

I assume the easiest way is to buy an 'oil filter sandwich plate/pickup' for the oil pressure guage ?

Anyone got a recommended brand and supplier ?
or alternative ?

For a AE101 4agze (in my AE86)

PS How hard are they to fit? I'm a bit of an 'office worker' :)

if using original sender (ae86 gauge) ( ae85 switch) either get a brass T or replace it.

its on the exhaust side near the front of the motor

What ever you do dont use a brass T, they break very easily, especially if this is a race car, vibrations cause them to break. Steal or the like is the better option.

You need to decide first if you're going to use a mechanical or electronic gauge. Mechanical will require a tee if you still want to run the original warning light/dash gauge or a 25lb warning light - to give you time to shut it down if pressure is low - instead of the old dash light. Electronic gauge you'd probably do away with the original light/gauge and screw the new sender unit in, in place of the original.
See ya
