mate just put a 1jzgte out of mark 2 into his jzx100 chaser were wondering what the 2nd throttle bit is for as it has its own ecu but the chaser loom was no plugs for it

i know the 2jz runs a 2nd throttle butterfly for traction control, sounds like a similar deal. i think most people rip it out.

Assuming you've got the idle screw on the throttle body adjusted correctly, in my experience, its either a vac leak or the idle control valve (at the back of the plenum) is rooted. Try blocking the big hose that the air goes through on that. If that solves it, get a new one, or blank it off with an aluminium plate and join the 2 water hoses together (by replacing them with 1 long hose)

see if this is relevant:

Should be pretty close/right, check the main things like power and earths, and check colours.

What's actually missing from the turbo loom? If you've got the ECU plugs and plugs that fit your sensors, the rest should be pretty easy, just match the pins on the ecu plug to their respective sensors. I've just had to make big parts of a loom to make a 1JZ-GTE work in my Z20. Go to jaycar and buy lots of heatshrink, electrical tape and split loom wrap and mix and match till you've got something that works. I bought one of those $50 dymo label makers from woolworths to help me remember what does what.
