The seal kit will be the cam seals and crank seal.

The autotensioner isnt re-usable and while your there doing the seals isnt a biggie.

Auto re-tensioner?

Silvertop's dont have auto re-tensioners, unless you call the spring that pulls on the adjuster an auto tensioner, but you need to lock the centre bolt anyway, so it really does nothing,

and the Blacktops have hydraulic tensioners, but they are normally re-useable if you deal with them correctly.

Normally on a ST you'd do the belt and the adjustment pulley,
and on a BT you'd do the belt and the hydro adjuster to be sure.

"parts shop"

Thats your first mistake  I'm not going to knock aftermarket parts, but for parts like you're after I would only buy genuine. Check the sponsors section of the forum above as mentioned above. Mark can get you anything toyota at good prices.

i would definitely NOT reuse a blacktop tensioner thats done 100k they DO NOT last 200k

i think matt is referring to reusing them when rebuilding low kay engines, ie for his race car
when at toyota the only auto tensioners i heard of failing were the blacktop ones and the 1kz ones

Yeah I guessed that might be the case, just don't want people getting the idea that its fine to try reuse on a road car with 100k

"but I read on toyspeed it would be fine!"

the problem with certain parts places is that the computer lists both types for the 20v and doesn't say one for blacktop, one for silver.
so unless the salesperson knows anything about 4ages your prob gunna get the wrong parts

yeah toyota geunine parts are insanely reasonable when it comes to cambelt stuff, their prices are all standardised and for the peace of mind / ease of fitment you get from genuine parts i personally dont even bother ringing partmaster and the like when we got a toyota cambelt to do.
