AE86 LSD/Diff options????
Just pulled my diff out and found the factory LSD (prefacelift) is lunched, which would explain why Im not getting any traction.
I just cant afford to buy a new 86 aftermarket LSD (TRD, cusco, kaaz etc), if I could find one, and am not too keen on getting a second hand one if its going to need money spent rebuilding etc.
The car is making 180 hp atw (turbo), so I dont need anything too industrial and am keen to try and keep the weight down.
The car is primarly used for track days and Im aiming for a set up that can be driftable as well.
Keen on any help and ideas on what diff or lsd could be made to fit without too much expense....cheers.

not alot of time difference lap wise between welded job ,which had for a very long time, and a good trd LSD, but the trd LSD does make the car slightly easier to drive, and can get better turn in. Id go welded for a " " grip " " car with out second thought for value for money.
SR Sold. Onto Other Things
ive got a locked mx73 f series and its mint. wouldnt go hilux from what ive heard its too heavy and torsen lsds are no good for the drift although sweet for grip and cheap as far as lsds go(altezza factory lsd into f series housing+shims <$500)
also i just scored an f series (open) out of a 3t carina for $20 so cheap as
