Crox tools - Flairing intercooler pipeing

Greetings all.

I need my inter cooler pipeing flaired with a crox tool, i took it to tube bending ltd and they could only do my straights - which they made a total mess of, but they couldnt do my bendy bits.

anyone no of a good place to send them?

buy a cheapish set of vicegrips, weld up them jaws on them to be the right shape to do it yourself. A tad on the 'rangi' side but it does the job and it you take your time doing it you'll get a VERY even finish.

Or run a bead of weld around a cm or so down from the end. Works wonders

A crox tool is designed for soft metals like copper so would probably work on aluminium if that's what your intercooler pipes are made from. Any plumbing workshop should have a bench tool that would do the job. I've only seen formers - which fit into the pipe you're croxing - for copper up to 2" but if the operator knows what he's doing would be able to do any size pipe.
