I can confirm that Discret (Jason A Civic hatch) entered the top 10 shoot out in 8th
And Metamorthisis (Adam S, 2000 wrx sti wagon) entered te top ten shoot out in 10th.
Snozzin (Richard, loud honda tuerno?) ran 17th
Also congrads to Jason who won his class on the dyno with 133kw.
Sorry to any one that did well from here aswel as i dnt know you as yet

1.18... thought there should of been some faster cars there... ie 1.14 and lower!

1.18 is fcuking quick for a road car....1.14 is like SuperGT/GT1 times.

there was a trans am class RX7 that went out, but not to sure how fast he got. I think the 1.18 was a pro class wrx, followed by a evo8? also in the 1.18 bracket

1.18 was that the winning time was it yep that is pretty good for a road car.

As For 1.14 and GT1 well thats probably for the GT2 class as in GT1 1.14 you would'nt be able to compete I think the cut-off time there is 1.12.

Good event though there was alot of people that attended also the drfiters were pretty good I to thought guys would have gone a little bit quicker as the drifters laid down alot of rubber so that track would have had alot of grip on the raceline.

Now I hear 1.18 as the winning time it guts me even more.

As for 1.14 and faster for road cars its a big ask I have done a 14.5 once on near new slicks and have only got into the 15s once since so 14 and below for a road car is a big ask.

yes 1.14 is super quick and I was more referring to Scott in the evo 8 :) and those type of cars.
1.18 is def fast for any street car.

I really want to try out Manfield one day. I know I could go under a 1.17 easily - I'm faster than dads esky around Taupo and Pukekohe :) and he was doing 1.16s around Manfield.

One day! lol, just so far to drive there :(

Bring on the new Hampton downs circuit!

I don't have a lot of experience, but I've driven on tracks in a slick'ed car a couple of times after drifters have been using them and they definitely seem to make it slower - all the steel belts and cheap rubber seem to reduce grip (sometimes by a huge amount) rather than increasing it - and it's bloody impossible to get those damn belts out of your tyres.

Yeah I wouldn't think anything left on the track by drifting is going to be useful for traction, it would be just a bunch of debris, so it would be a lot like driving in the "marbles" when you go off the racing line.

Mate he was like me and had problems. The car looks better in real life than in the pics in my view.I'm unsure what he did but thats the only time I saw it.

Mad Mikes car is a real picture with all the Red Bull stuff on it and it sounds the part and he does the buso at the wheel as well.I also liked Johnny Udy's TT Monaro that thing looked like a bit of a beast. It seemed to me as that Adam Richards made the most smoke though I could be wrong but everytime that guy went side-ways it was a instant smoke-screen...In all those drift guys really impress me I wish I had about half the amount of car control skills these guys have just really impressive.
