not necessarily a great test as a torsen LSD unit can behave like this. my altezza one does, as did both of my ex flatmates RZ supras

yes, however it is hard to know what is in the gearbox in question without opening it up.

good thing to try is shift it through gears without the car running and the clutch out
the only time the clutch will be causing that is if its not disengaging properly, in which case it would be affecting all gears
