Hmm - well Puke shouldn't put too much on them as there's really only a few testing corners. Maybe at a more cornery track.....??

How would I know if they're overheating? Would they delaminate or just become slippery?

Should be ok, they are older tyres from a V8?

You will lose a lot of grip all round, but probably get alot of understeer mainly as sounds like your car has a tendancy to push already. With softer suspension you will be getting alot of tyre movement as you have more weight transfer if I understand correctly, similair to running tyre pressure too low, and therefore cause the tyres to overheat.

yeah - not the big ones - but the v8 touring type I'm told...
